Everything is Connected. The Maori Concept of Interconnectedness and the turquoise consciousness. A few thoughts about the transcendence through inclusion.
For the Maori – the indigenous people of New Zealand, the concept of “Interconnectedness” is at the core of their view of the world. In general, this mindset centers toward a fundamental belief that everything in the universe is connected, and that every creature, plant, and even object has a purpose, deserves to be respected & cared for, and has an important role to play in the overall script of life.
Like many if not all indigenous cultures, they focus on a holistic understanding of the whole that emerged from the millennium of their existence and experiences.
On the other side the basic theme for the turquoise consciousness – referred to Ken Wilber’s integral theory and Clare W. Graves’ Spiral dynamics model in Don Beck’s interpretation, is: Experience the wholeness of existence through mind and spirit and realises oneness.
What’s important: Holistic, intuitive thinking and cooperative actions; waves of integrative energies; uniting feeling with knowledge; seeing the self as both distinct and a blended part of a larger, compassionate whole; recognition that everything connects to everything else in ecological alignments.
I cannot stop asking myself: Are we coming back to the roots? Reinventing what the great tradition have already knew? What happens when science transcend its own limitation and include the valuable aspects of spirituality? By noting that science and spirituality are very different in their qualities yet at the same time the creative tension field that they co-create as „Seed and Potential“ is indeed an “implicate” in the sense that it holds the potential of the manifest reality and could have in the end the positive impact on all of us and our natural environment.
In this webinar I probably will be pushing the boundaries as a researcher about what I can say with certainty. For natural reasons there is not that much data supporting any claim that can be made on this issue. This is also a short description and I am probably assuming one or two things about all theories that I cannot even explain. So just let this speculation be a discussion opener and let’s stretch our imagination a bit. Anyway, let’s play with it! On 13th August from 08:00 pm CET via Zoom.
