Global Social Witnessing in Calais Jungle
In Calais Jungle, North France, more than 2000 illegal refugees live and wait for chance to go to UK. The situation is very worth and many human right organizations are warning because of terrible life conditions there. Kazuma and 9 students from Witten/Herdecke University worked from 25th to 30th November in “Refugee Community Kitchen” in Calais. Everyday they cooked more than 3000 foods and delivered in Calais and Dunkerque from 9 am to 5 pm and practiced Global Social Witnessing by introspective and contemplative exercises like reflection dialogue and meditation.
They could witness what happens there and tried to integrate their experiences into their daily life.
