Internationalization of the learning experience
Teaching/Training Assignments in Greece
In October 2022 as part of a European project, Dr. Anna Storck – a board member of our organisation had the opportunity to visit our partner organization in Greece.
She was visiting our the Fractality in Athen in order to share her teaching ideas and tips with their trainers and learners and also in order to learn something new from them too.
In the first week in Athen sshe provided a two days workshop on Integral Approach for the Factuality staff and shared some new methodologies and tools with them. She has also attended the forum for Future Learning, where she gave a talk about the Blended Learning for Social Ecological Transition. She shared the results from our KA204 – Strategic Partnerships for adult education project. This kind of cross pollination was an added value to her staff mobility activities.
Besides her teaching activities, she spent lots of time on building a strong cooperation between our institutions and broadening the range and content of courses we offer. Factuality is planning to motivate their learners and staff to become mobile and to assist them in preparing a mobility period in Germany in 2023. We agreed on programs and methods and all other practicalities for their visit to Potsdam, which did happen in March 2023.
Our organization is currently developing a new digital project: Well being through the Virtual Reality, so she was also able to introduce this project to the Factuality team members and invite them to cooperation. With other partners from EU countries we also plan to start a new Strategic Partnerships for next year. In the second week of her stay in Greece she continued with her teaching activities and together with our partner Dr. Markos Perrakis they’ve provided the course Appreciative Integral Leadership for the international audience.
The learners benefit from their shared knowledge and expertise. Working next to her colleague that have similar work tasks, she has learned how other trainer and teach from the first hand experience. She has also acquired knowledge or specific know-how from this experiences and good practices abroad.
The goal for us as an organisation to give our members a chance to develop professionally and personally, to strengthen contacts between partner organizations, and to spread knowledge to the host organization during our study visit. By sending our educators and trainers abroad for Erasmus mobilities, we sought to expose them to different cultural contexts, and teaching methodologies. We aimed to broaden their horizons, foster intercultural understanding, and enable them to bring diverse perspectives into our educational programs. And in return, by sending our teachin staff aboard we create the opportunity for the learnes in aboard to benefits from our experiences and knowledge.
